CEC celebrates 30th anniversary

The Canadian Ethoncultural Council celebrated its 30th anniversary at a gala held on October 30, 2010 at the Riviera Parque Convention Centre, in the city of Vaughan with the theme "Through Diversity Strength". The event was held in collaboration with the Italian Canadian Museum (AMICI).The Gala Co-Chairs were Dominic Campione and Mario Cortellucci and honourary co-chairs were Madeline Ziniak, National Vice-President OMNI TV and Lenny Lombardi, President CHIN Radio.

Thirty years ago the Canadian Ethnocultural Council was created to bring together many of the country’s strongest and important ethnic organizations. The purpose of the CEC was and continues to be, to collaborate through dialogue and mutual respect, and build a strong united Canada. The CEC is the only national umbrella organization which brings together diverse communities to achieve this goal.

The dinner gala fundraising event featured a concert by Mancuso Square, with the duo of Dominic Mancuso (2010 Juno Award Winner of the World Music Album of the year) and Vince Mancuso (renowned Italian Canadian artist).
